ORSA Specialist - Springfield, VA


The Multi-Media Operations Research Support to Analysis (ORSA) Specialist provides research and intelligence analysis support to our National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) customer at their New Campus East (NCE) facility in Springfield, Virginia. To be considered for this opportunity candidates MUST have an active TOP SECRET security clearance and recent SCI access.

Preferred candidates will have:

  • NGA or IC experience Strong computer skills – demonstrated proficiency on PC platform with Adobe; Acrobat; Photoshop; Illustrator; FrameMaker; Dreamweaver; In-Design and M/S Office Suite, including Outlook Working knowledge of mark-up languages SGML, XML & HTML
  • Expertise formatting documents in these formats
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Familiar with print and web based design principles
  • Working knowledge of world wide web and multimedia technologies
  • Familiarity with IC and imagery collection and exploitation.

As a Multi-Media Services (Operation Research Support to Analysis) Analyst, you will apply expert knowledge in one or more of the following areas: GEOINT, SIGINT, IMINT, MASINT, HUMINT, and/or OSINT. In this position you will be responsible for geospatial intelligence analysis using multi-source databases on issues supporting current and future areas of responsibility within the customer’s mission. You will work directly with customers and team members to maintain, move and manipulate data between applications. You will prepare and present intelligence assessments and briefings to customers and advise key leadership of intelligence issues and challenges as appropriate. You will exercise oral and written communication skills to collaborate and interact with analysts within the customer agency, military service components, and DoD and national-level intelligence agencies. In this position you will also assist in the development and documentation of analytical products and geo-databases.


EDUCATION / TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience or applicable work experience in lieu of a degree is required. Candidates should have completed foundational training in Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) or cartographic sciences. A minimum of three years relevant experience is required.

SKILLS: Candidates must have experience using the following software applications: ESRI ArcGIS including Arc Map, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), CMMA, BVI, OILSTOCK, JSWS, GCCS, and ADOCS. Candidates must have experience using Multimedia Message Manager (M3) or Automated Message Handling System (AMHS).

Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with the following imagery data types:

  • NTM, air breather, and civil/commercial sensors.

Candidates must possess knowledge of imagery collection systems.

Candidates must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and will interact with team members, customer representatives, external customers, and functional peer groups.
